I fell in love with photography when I held my first camera that was made from steel and leather. I didn't know the power of photography till putting the first few rolls through the camera and developing them myself. The romance really got hot in the dark room where all the magic of images appearing on paper happened. The smell was intoxicating from developer, stop bath and fixer. The process was drawn out. From the click to winding the film, composing, the click of the shutter and then waiting to see the images. A day, a few days, a week. A perception of time that no longer exists. A time and patience dinosaur.
These images were taken with my Penax K1000 on Fuji Acros 100 film. The first image was taken by my son, Theo.
